This joint website of the Canadian Tectonics Group (CTG) and the Structural Geology and Tectonics Division (SGTD) of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC) stores information on Canadian (and related) structural geology and tectonics, and makes it available to anyone interested. It is maintained in Calgary, Alberta, and hosted at the Geological Association of Canada, St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador.

The CTG is an informal group devoted to Canadian tectonics and structural geology without membership rules and without an official administrative structure. If you attend the annual CTG meeting or add your name to the mailing list, you become a member of the CTG.

The Structural Geology and Tectonics Division is an official division of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC). The Main Thrust is the newsletter of the SGTD. Membership of the SGTD is open to all members of the GAC upon payment of minimal annual division dues with the annual GAC membership (currently $5, students are free!). We subsidize graduate students' travel expenses to meetings, support meetings (including the annual CTG), and award annual prizes for best paper, best GAC/MAC student abstract, and best thesis (PhD and MSc).
