CALL FOR GRANT APPLICATIONSSt. John’s 88/01 Trust FundFunding for Geoscience Education Projects 2011 – 2012 Applications are invited from interested individuals or groups for an award or awards to be made to Geoscience Education Projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. A maximum of $1500 will be awarded to one or more deserving projects in this competition. Projects should emphasize Earth Science, in the broad sense of the word, and should be beneficial to the professional development of the Newfoundland and Labrador geoscience community. They should also be open to participation by a significant segment of that community. Examples include funding of visiting speakers, field trips (normally to be held within the province), technical workshops, and activities related to the development of Earth Sciences skills at the secondary education level.
